Thank you for being here and for your time to read and explore the topic of employment.

This time is not easy for anyone; especially for the jobless. Life as we knew it seemed to change so suddenly; One day we’re enjoying coffee with a friend at our favorite coffee shop only to hear within a day they were closing up indefinitely. So many other businesses have been forced to shut down; some fortunate folks continue to work from home yet, many are laid off indefinitely without an income.

The Seattle Times posted on 4-9-2020 “That Washington state has nearly half a million unemployed from coronavirus, with a tsunami of more unemployment claims expected.”

I personally feel connected to those small businesses struggling with the drastic decline in business, along with those individuals that have lost their jobs and feeling a total loss & confusion as to what’s the next step in securing work? With so many companies closed where will they go?

The stimulus checks, that are in the process of going out, is a small % of what’s required to maintain most lifestyles. One simply can’t relax and stay home, as advised, without worry.

This is the time to reflect, regroup and explore your employment options. There are solutions to employment. This may require you to expand your ideas of what work looks like to you. The need to be more flexible and open to explore something new.

For the Essential business community-  I’m listing just a few: Grocery Stories, Drug stores, Amazon- Food courier services supporting the remaining restaurants that are open for take-out only.  Seems to be thriving at an all time High!

For immediate cash flow needs, there are several job opportunities available NOW! And getting out of the house to provide essential services!

  • Grocery stores are hiring and paying well with benefits.
  • Driving for a courier service using a  bike or car.
  • Ubereats- Grubhub- Postmates- Doordash- Amazon. Great income!  pays daily & weekly; with flexible schedules.  I drive part-time for a couple of them and recommend them for cash flow needs.

There are employment opportunities from home!

Which some provide quick cash, while others provide more passive long term income.

I have a list of 24 BEST work from home jobs and how to avoid scams. Private message me for details.

The point is there are options during this Dark storm surrounding us now..

In my last two posts – I mentioned the importance of becoming strong and training your life

This economic downturn is just one of the reasons we need to Be strong in mind and body. To be able to handle the unexpected twists and turns in life. We can always expect change; it’s how we relate to it and respond that’s most important.

Never be defeated, no matter what happens! Having a strong spirit!

A couple of quotes that are fitting for this time:

A quote from Daisaku Ikeda-

“ Why doesn’t constant trampling defeat the dandelion? The key to its strength is its long and sturdy root, which extends deep into the earth. The same principle applies to people. The true victors in life are those who, enduring repeated challenges and setbacks, have sent the roots of their being to such a depth that nothing can shake them. “

“ In seeking to cure someone’s illness, we should spare no effort, leave no stones unturned. When you cling to one set idea, you can’t respond to changes”

A quote from Bruce-Lee-

“ Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a .. teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash… Be water, my friend.”

This is the Time to train ourselves; Time to reflect- Become stronger by challenging our circumstances; We will overcome this; This storm will pass and soon be a page in history!

I’m here for you, We’re doing this thing called Living… together..

Thank you for being here.

Blessings to thrive today and forward..
